    Why Harvest Festival?
Only about 1% of the population of the UK (and even less at Elvetham Heath!) work 'on the land' much of our food comes from overseas and we can buy it all year round so why does the church still celebrate harvest festival? Good question - a couple of answers spring to mind. First, we all have a great deal to thank God for: homes, incomes from whatever kind of work we do, clothes, holidays, and of course food which we focus on at harvest time. Second, many celebrations down the ages have been linked to the agricultural cycle: one example was the Jewish feast of tabernacles, which we will recall at our service on Sunday 3 October please join us then, and feel free to bring item(s) of food as part of our offering

Babysitting for Children with Special Needs

Have you sometimes cancelled your plans because you are unsure about leaving them with someone who does not really understand their needs? If you have then I can understand, - I have a special needs child and work with special needs children at a local school and I know how hard it is to be able to go out for and evening knowing that I have found the right childcare. you would like more information please contact Sara Goodman 01252 622690 or 07974 390050.
